LOCKTON Art. HG-HD100-075-SSS Heavy Duty Ball Bearing Door Hinge.
This high quality Hinge is made of 304 Stainless Steel giving it the strength and durability required to make it a long lasting addition to most door applications, especially heavy solid core fire rated doors or doors fitted with door closers up to 100 kilograms.
The ball bearing assembly enables smoother and more fluid movements in comparison with fixed pin models.
- These 'Severe Duty' hinges are rated - Grade 13 for increased resistance to persistent violent attack and near constant usage
- High corrosion & temperature resistance with no corrosion to product after 24hr salt spray test
- Tested to 200,000 usage cycles

The Effective Door Weight can increase from the following factors:
- Width: 1000mm to 1050mm add 10% to Actual Door Weight to arrive at Effective Door Weight
- Width: 1050mm to 1100mm add 20% to Actual Door Weight to arrive at Effective Door Weight
- Width: 1100mm to 1200mm add 35% to Actual Door Weight to arrive at Effective Door Weight
Door Closer
- If Door is fitted with Standard Door Closer add 20% to Actual Door Weight to arrive at Effective Door Weight
- If Door is fitted with Door Closer w/ Back Check add 75% to Actual Door Weight to arrive at Effective Door Weight
Example-1
A solid timber door (2100h x 950w), weighing 45kgs, fitted with a Door Closer w/ Backcheck Calculation as follows
Effective Door Weight = Actual Door Weight + 75% (45kg + 75% = 79kg) ; as door is not over 2500h, 3 x 80kg rated hinges to be fitted (see 'Fixed Pin' or 'Ball Bearing' Hinge Ranges)
Example-2
A large entrance door (2100h x 1200w), weighing 70kgs, Calculation as follows
Effective Door Weight = Actual Door Weight + 35% (70kg + 35% = 95kg) ; as door is not over 2500h, 3 x 100kg rated hinges to be fitted
