Recycling and Sustainability Statement

At SG Lock & Security we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through thoughtful packaging choices, responsible waste management, and continuous improvement in our sustainability practices.

Packaging Improvements:

• We have recently transitioned from plastic packing tape to paper packing tape, made from 50% recycled material and 100% recyclable.
• Our void fill has been upgraded from plastic to paper void fill, made with 100% recycled content and fully recyclable.
• We actively reduce box sizes where possible to minimise the need for excess void fill.

Shipping Cartons:

• Approximately 50% of our shipping cartons are internally recycled, sourced from inbound packaging and staff contributions.
• The remaining cartons are made from 100% recycled materials and are fully recyclable.

Product Packaging:

• In 2025 we have replaced Garage & Gate packaging with recyclable cardboard packaging.
• A large percentage of our LOCKTON range uses plain brown cardboard boxes, avoiding plastic-coated printed layers commonly used by other brands. This ensures our packaging is more sustainable and easier to recycle.

Onsite Recycling:

• We maintain Paper & Cardboard Recycling and Co-Mingled Recycling bins at our facility, significantly reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
